In this new world we live in where remote teaching has taken over our lives, Edpuzzle is a wonderfully engaging tool to use across all grade levels. Choose from a variety of videos from the Edpuzzle library, YouTube, or upload your own and adapt it to your lesson needs. You can crop, customize, and remix the videos as well as add voiceovers and questions (multiple choice, open ended, and notes). The voice over feature is a great tool as you can add a few quick checks to read-aloud videos, introduce vocabulary, or teach a math concept.
One of their best features is the Student Projects. We know students love to create so why not give them the opportunity to do so to demonstrate their knowledge! Students will love doing a student project on Edpuzzle because they'll get access to the platform as if they were teachers. They'll be able to search for a video, edit it and embed questions and comments to create their own project. When the project is finished, you can easily grade it and add feedback and comments. Assign a Student Project by going to "My Content," then clicking on the blue "Add Content" button and selecting "Student project" from the drop-down menu. Watch as they amaze you!
